Just about every time I shoot a wedding, the last thing I say to the bride & groom before I leave is “Call me when you start having babies!” You can imagine my squeal of delight when I received a message from Carrie telling me she and her husband Frank, whose wedding I documented in October 2008, already had a new addition to the family who was ready to meet me! I traveled south to their home in West Seattle last month to meet two month-old Luke- who was just as adorable as I imagined he would be! We had such a great time catching up and I am so excited to know we’ll have many more good times together in the future… which is exactly what I hope for every time I shoot a wedding : )
The last time I saw Carrie’s gorgeous wedding ring was the first day she had worn it… I just loved seeing it again with Luke’s little fingers wrapped around hers!
I love these photos of Luke in the cradle Frank slept in when he was a baby, and on the blanket Carrie slept with when she was one too!
To Carrie, Frank & Luke… thank you so much for thinking so much of my work that you wanted to continue our relationship as your family grew- it means the world to me!
