Congratulations, Kara & Chris! 7.24.2010

  

My favorite weddings to shoot are always the ones where it is so obvious to me and everyone in attendance that this is a couple that is meant to be together – and everyone wants to celebrate it! What a fun wedding this was to be a part of! Shooting a wedding is always a long day of work, but it’s impossible to complain about it  much when I have the pleasure of working with a lot of really happy people celebrating a really great couple : )

Kara and Chris were married on the afternoon of July 24th, on a bluff overlooking picturesque Holmes Harbor, near Freeland, Washington. Here are some photos I selected to share the story of their wedding day…

One Is So Fun!

    
The last time we saw baby Adalyn on my blog she was a wee little one at two months old… for some reason sharing the photos we created of her at age six months just fell off my radar and didn’t get done! So here she is, one year old already! I joined Addy and her mom and dad, Denise and Joe at Whatcom Falls Park on the evening of Addy’s first birthday. Addy got right down to business showing me her newly acquired one-year-old skills ie: simulated drunk-walking, ability to locate own nose and own head, not to mention having the “'How big is Addy?" game completely mastered, thank-you-very-much! Like most one-year-olds, Addy felt most comfortable keeping Mom & Dad within arm’s reach while we explored the park, which made for some really fun pictures of the family!
After our visit at the park, I joined Addy and her family at home for the traditional eating of the cake! I’m planning to share those photos in an upcoming blog entry for July birthdays… in the meantime, I uploaded select photos from Addy’s six month shoot to a Facebook album. Be sure to take a look!

Denise made Addy a special outfit to commemorate her first birthday and at first it seemed Addy wanted no part of it! Of course she forgot all about it once mama pulled some tricks from her sleeve : )
